Drive-by Shootings – The Premier

with 2 comments

Headed home on Friday. Gay Street. Downtown Baltimore. I’m headed to my beautiful wife and daughter. Sadly…what’s in store for this gentleman?

  1. Hi John – Tim shares your web sites with me and I always enjoy them. Especially find this one something I really understand. I’ve been riding a bus back and forth to work from Anne Arundel County to downtown via Brooklyn and Cherry Hill. Like you – feel like I’ve seen it all. My co-riders in the very early morning are all going to work or hauling their little ones to sitters. I see these people ride the bus every morning, rain or shine. I know they make next to nothing, live in an area that is dangerous, dirty and depressing. But as tired as they look and and probably are, they keep a sense of humor and join in the little conversations that go on among people who have casual relationships but don’t really know each other. In the evening going home, there’s a group of men heading to night shift jobs and a miscellaenous assortment of all ages and types – including druggies who sit on the seat swaying back and forth and defying the law of gravity by not falling off onto the floor. There are loud obnoxious people and people so sweet you want do something to get them out of the terrible place they are in. My neighbors in the county just totally ignore the City – never go there for anything. Hope your pictures bring the City alive for them – the good as well as the bad. Good for you – I look forward to seeing what you come up with. – pat

  2. Thanks Pat! I’m glad to spark your interest and most importantly…to get your insight. Your words inspire me to reach for my camera — damn this day job 🙂

Hope to keep you along for what should be an exciting ride.
